Ranchi, July 30: Governor CP Radhakrishnan left Jharkhand on Tuesday. He will assume charge as Governor of Maharashtra. Chief Minister Hemant Soren bid him farewell at Birsa Munda Airport presenting him a bouquet and a memento.
Minister Banna Gupta, MP Nalin Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, Chief Secretary L. Khyangte, DGP Anurag Gupta, Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel, and other senior state government officials wer present at the airport on the occasion.
Earlier, Chief Minister Soren, along with Gandey MLA Kalpana Murmu Soren, met Governor Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan. During the meeting, Soren extended his best wishes to CP Radhakrishnan, expressing confidence that the people of Jharkhand would always benefit from his guidance.
Jharkhand’s newly appointed Governor, Santosh Gangwar, will be sworn in as the 12th Governor of the state on July 31. Acting Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Sujit Narayan Prasad will administer the oath.
