Memorial meeting held for Lalita Sareen in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 30: Kavyapta Global School, Jamshedpur on July 30 hosted a memorial meeting to honor the late Lalita Sareen, the Initiative Director of the school who passed away on July 25. The event was attended by principals from many of Jamshedpur’s leading educational institutions, reflecting the widespread respect and admiration for Sareen’s contributions to education.

The gathering began with a sombre tribute to Lalita Sareen, who was celebrated as an exceptional educationist and visionary. Lalita Sareen was widely recognized for her role as the founder principal of Jamshedpur Public School and the Initiative Director of Kavyapta Global School, where she made significant strides in raising the institution’s standards and fostering an environment conducive to all-round student development. Her dedication to enhancing educational practices, coupled with her keen interest in sports, fine arts, and social activities, left a lasting impact on the community.

During the meeting, several notable speakers paid tribute to Sareen’s legacy. Kabita Agrawal, Principal and Director of Kavyapta Global School, in her address, reflected on Sareen’s innovative approach to education and her commitment to nurturing students beyond academics. Nandini Shukla, Principal of Kerala Samajam Model School, and Sunita Sinha, Creative Director of Kavyapta Global School, also spoke, highlighting Sareen’s remarkable contributions and her role in shaping the educational landscape.

The ceremony was attended by family members of the late Lalita Sareen along with various dignitaries and educational leaders, including Anil Rungta, social activist Ronald D’ Costa, Fr. Dr. Vinod Fernandes, Principal of Loyola School, Vidya Battiwala from Tata Education Excellence Programme (TEEP), Ashu Tiwari, Principal of St. John’s English School, Rajni Shekhar, Principal of DBMS English School, Gurpreet Bhamra, Principal of DBMS Kadma, Swarna Mishra, Principal of Dayanand Public School, and Ishita De, Principal of Tarapore School, Agrico. Arun Singh, Principal of South Point School, and several other principals from prominent schools in Jamshedpur also attended.

The event was further supported by Kavyapta Global School’s Management Committee members, including Ajay Agrawal, Vishnu Bharatiya, Chetan Agrawal, and Raja Bhattacharjee, as well as members of the Parent Teacher Association and teachers and administrative staff of Kavyapta Global School. Together, they paid their respects to a leader whose dedication to education and holistic student development will be remembered for years to come.
