Jharkhand CM gives nod for RIMS Ranchi renovation, Rankini Mandir plantation plans

Ranchi, July 18 Principal Secretary of the Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, Ajay Kumar Singh met Chief Minister Hemant Soren today in the Jharkhand Secretariat.

During the meeting, the Principal Secretary apprised the Chief Minister of the proposed work plan related to the redevelopment and expansion of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Ranchi.

The discussions between Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Principal Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh covered various aspects of the new site development and redevelopment proposal for the state’s largest hospital, RIMS.

These included the renovation of the old OPD, IPD, and academic block, new residential bungalows for the Director, Medical Superintendent, Additional Director, and Dean, a new forensic medicine department building, construction of a new OPD block, covered pathways, drainage supply, boundary wall and gates, electrical work, proposed works, and road development.

The Chief Minister reviewed the work plan in detail and provided several important directives to the Principal Secretary. Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Avinash Kumar, was also present on the occasion.

Hemant Soren later in the day also gave administrative approval of a total of Rs 1503.62 lakh for the development of sites located near Rankini Temple, Jadugoda.

The CM has given approval on the draft for the proposal and the related scheme authorized committee. This proposal has been approved by CM Hemant under the “Tree Plantation and Land Conservation on Notified Forest Land” scheme to be implemented from the financial year 2024-25 to 2025-26.

The chief minister also met with people who had come with their problems and assured of early solution to their grievances.
