Jharkhand CM for completion of projects in time without compromising on quality

Ranchi, March 13: Chief Minister Champai Soren today reviewed the updated status of schemes above Rs 10 crore of Building Construction Department, Water Resources Department, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Urban Development and Housing Department, Road Construction Department and Rural Works Department.

He said that these schemes will decide the direction of development of the state. In such a situation, all these schemes should be completed on time and there should not be any compromise on its quality.

In the high-level review meeting of six departments, the Chief Minister told the officials that whatever schemes are going on should be completed within the stipulated time. If the plans are getting delayed due to some reason then find a quick solution to it.

Expressing concern over many schemes being pending for a long time, the Chief Minister said that this is not in the interest of the state. This increases the cost of the schemes significantly. Because of this there is additional financial burden on the government. In such a situation, appropriate and prompt steps should be taken towards completing whatever pending schemes are there.

Officials were clearly told that they should work in coordination between the concerned departments regarding various schemes so that if any kind of hindrance is coming in the implementation of the schemes, it can be resolved.

The Chief Minister said that the summer season is coming. In such a situation, all preparations should be completed so that there is no drinking water crisis. Whatever schemes related to drinking water should be speeded up. Apart from this, keeping the needs in mind, prepare an action plan for drinking water schemes and implement it.

While reviewing the schemes of the Water Resources Department, the Chief Minister said that in the projects related to irrigation and reservoir, full care should be taken that minimum villages are affected in the submergence area. This creates many problems during displacement. In such a situation, latest technology should be used in irrigation projects.
