Jharkhand CM extend Christmas wishes in meeting with Archbishop

Ranchi, Dec 24: Chief Minister Hemant Soren extended Christmas wishes to faithful in a meeting with Ranchi Archdiocese Archbishop Father Felix Toppo in Ranchi on the eve of Christmas on Friday.


Chief Minister Hemant Soren also saw the image of the child Lord Jesus at the Archbishop’s House, Purulia Road, Ranchi today on the occasion of Christmas Eve. On this occasion, Hemant Soren and Archbishop Felix Toppo together cut the cake.

The Chief Minister extended Christmas greetings and best wishes to Archbishop Felix Toppo, the Christian society and the people of the state to mark birth of Lord Jesus Christ which takes place on December 25.

. The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Jesus for peace and prosperity for all the people.

Later speaking to media, the Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to celebrate Christmas festival with precaution keeping in mind the danger of Covid infection especially Covid new variant Omicron.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that Christmas is a festival of sharing happiness. This day should be celebrated with enthusiasm, zeal and happiness.

“Like every year, Christmas festival is being celebrated this year too, but the circumstances are slightly opposite. The danger of Covid infection is not averted yet, in such a situation, we would like people to keep their tradition intact and celebrate the festival with family following the guidelines laid out by the government to curb Covid infection,” said Soren.

The Chief Minister said that the example that the people of Jharkhand have set during the global pandemic, we need to set this example more strongly in the future.
