Ranchi, August 18: Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed public meetings in Godda and Pakur on Sunday amid rumors of former CM Champai Soren joining the BJP.

In Pakur, CM Soren launched the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiyan Samman Yojna, transferring Rs 1000 each to the accounts of 81,000 women through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

During his speech, CM Soren criticized the BJP, accusing it of trying to destabilize his government since 2019. He asserted that despite their efforts, his government, part of the INDI Alliance, had remained strong.

Soren emphasized that three ministers in his government died during the COVID-19 pandemic. He said his administration was determined to continue its work.
The Chief Minister also accused the BJP of manipulating the Election Commission and expressed confidence that his party would defeat the BJP in the upcoming elections, stating, “Today the election bell rang, and tomorrow we will wipe them out.”
