Jharkhand CM directs for action plan to prevent water crisis in summer

Hemant Soren focus on expediting welfare schemes implementation in districts

Ranchi, April 9 : Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren reviewed the progress of the schemes implemented by government departments with the deputy commissioners of the districts on  Wednesday.

The departments of schedules tribes, scheduled castes, minority and backward classes welfare, women child development and social security, health, agriculture, rural development and home department were the focus at the meeting.

Chief Minister directed the officials to expedite the operation of ambitious and public welfare development schemes being run by the departments with full readiness, transparency and commitment and they should take special care that the schemes are completed within the stipulated time frame, so that maximum number of people can get the benefit of the schemes.

He directed that special care should be taken so that common people do not face drinking water problem in the summer months. Prepare an action plan soon so that there is no water crisis.

Chief minister also directed the officials to ensure that the payment of pre-matric (Class 1 to 10) scholarship amount is made to the studying students on time. For this, complete the verification and payment work within a fixed time limit.

He directed that the payment of all pending scholarships should be completed by May 8.

The Chief Minister directed that the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts should hold regular meetings of the District Level Committee for the Forest Rights Act 2006 and SC / ST Atrocity Act as a priority.

The Chief Minister said that for better results of Forest Rights Act, there should be a regular follow-up system at the state level. The Deputy Commissioner should give approval to CFRR for forest rights giving full priority.

The Chief Minister told the officials that a comprehensive database should be prepared by forming a joint team at the district level for the repair of all the hostels of the Welfare Department.

Third party evaluation should be done for the business started with the loans received under the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme. The logo should be put on the assets of the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme.

While reviewing the health, medical education and family welfare department, Hemant Soren directed the officials that 1117 new health sub-centers are to be constructed in the state under the 15th Finance Commission, in which 949 health centers are to be constructed in the first phase and 168 in the second phase.

The Chief Minister said that the block level committee of the Medical Officer in charge, CO/CI should jointly select the site for the construction of the health sub-centers. The Chief Minister directed the officials that the state government has planned to hire private doctors at health sub-centers. A panel of specialist doctors should be made and their services should be taken in these health centers as per the need so that the general public can get treatment related facilities.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to take initiative to build helipads in all the medical colleges of the state and AIIMS hospital located in Deoghar. He has instructed to make a circuit of all the blood banks established in the hospitals.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure that there is adequate availability of blood in all the blood banks within the next three months. An action plan should be made so that patients do not have to struggle for blood.

The Chief Minister said that a portal of blood banks should be made where database information is available. The Chief Minister said that the civil surgeons of all the districts should work on creating health profiles.
