Ranchi, September 30:Chief Minister Hemant Soren has directed the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Department to ensure Kisan Credit Card (KCC) linkage to all farmers of the state by March 2022.
In a review of the agriculture, animal husbandry and cooperative department at the Project Bhawan directed the deputy commissioners of the 24 districts to take the work of linking farmers with KCC seriously. The chief minister asked deputy commissioners to work in coordination with the bank. In the district where the condition of KCC is not good, there is a need to work better and add new farmers also to the scheme.
He also asked the Deputy Commissioners to meet every week with the bank management and remove the bottlenecks and give the benefit of KCC to the farmers. Ensure coverage of all farmers under KCC by March 31, 2022. This is an important scheme of the state government. The Chief Minister expressed displeasure over the slow pace of issuance of Kisan Credit Cards. The Chief Minister said that every farmer should have a Kisan Credit Card in his hand. This is very important for the farmers.
He also asked for ensuring availability of urea and other fertilizers. The Chief Minister asked the Deputy Commissioner, Dhanbad to use the water collected in the closed mines for irrigation.
All the Deputy Commissioners should take the work issued by KCC seriously.

During the review, the Chief Minister said that the progress of livestock scheme is not satisfactory in many districts. All the Deputy Commissioners should give the benefit of the scheme to the people by holding a meeting with the District Animal Husbandry Officer regarding the livestock development scheme. Give cooperation to the animal rearers in the group as well. Work as a cluster for this. Chatra has done a good job regarding the scheme, all the districts should follow it and bring out better results. He said that the state government has launched a scheme to strengthen the farmers financially from farming along with animal husbandry. By November, it should be ensured that maximum farmers are benefited from the livestock scheme.
The Chief Minister said that the pace of cold storage construction is going very slow. Where there are land related matters, start the construction work by marking the land as soon as possible. The pace of cold room construction work is also not satisfactory, speed up its work. In order to construct cold storage and cold room, apply to the concerned department for availability of electricity and water. So that the work can start with the construction itself.
