Ranchi, Nov 19: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today assured a comprehensive development of the Sarna religious place at Lugu Buru Ghata Bari in Lalapania area of Bokaro.
The Chief Minister made the assurance while addressing devotees during the annual worshipping at the Sarna religious place, situated atop the hilly area of Lugu Buru Ghanta Bari annual International Sarna Conference.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister along with his wife Smt. Kalpana Soren and sons offered prayers in full ritualistic and traditional manner. On this occasion, he paid homage by garlanding the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda installed here.
The chief minister addressing on the occasion said that government is making an action plan keeping the aspirations and activities of all the sections of the people and priority is to ensure that schemes benefit reaches the last mile.
The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda and State Foundation Day, Aapne Adhikar Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar program has been started from 15th November. Under this program, the government is coming to your doorstep to solve your problems by December 28 and to provide you the benefits of the government’s schemes. Clear instructions have been given to all the officials that through the camps, people will get the benefit of the welfare schemes of the government.
The government is cooperating at every level to promote women’s groups. Capital is being made available to them through banking linkage or other means. Palash brand has been started to promote and market their products. Its purpose is to empower women through Women Self Help Groups. He said that under the Sona-Sobran Dhoti-Sari scheme, dhoti-sari is being provided to the beneficiaries twice every year for Rs.10. The Chief Minister also apprised the people about other schemes being run by the government.
Hemant was accompanied at the conference by his wife, Kalpana, children, cabinet colleague Champai Soren. He added, “The government is working on an all-round development of the neglected, marginalised and oppressed section of the society.” He requested tribals to lodge a complaint with the people’s representatives in case of any negligence on the part of officials.
Hemant also handed over appointment letters to several candidates of the District Education department and distributed lease papers of lands among the displaced of Tenughat Thermal Power Corporation.
In Bokaro district, appointment letters were provided to 92 people in various government departments. At the same time, the work of completing the recruitment process of 189 people is in the final stage. On this occasion, the Chief Minister did something symbolic.
Land lease deeds were given to five beneficiaries, mini tractors to four Aajeevika Sakhi Mandals, two motorized boats to Matsyajeevi Sahayak Samiti, two cows to the beneficiaries, KCC to three beneficiaries, two women self-help groups for capital Rs 5.72 crore in the form, in addition to the honor of women belonging to three self-help groups under the Phoolo Jhanno Ashirwad scheme, benefits of old age, widow, national family benefit were provided to the beneficiaries.
Notably tribal people from various parts of country including, Odisha, Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala besides the neighbouring countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal are part of the event. They bathe in the Charcharia Canal situated on the foothills of Lugu Buru religious place which never dries up and drink water from a nearby hill which has divine power.
