Jamshedpur Industrial Township proposal gets Jharkhand Cabinet nod

 

Ranchi, Dec 15: In a pivotal move aimed at bolstering industrial infrastructure, the Jharkhand cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, has given the green signal to the establishment of the Jamshedpur Industrial Township in East Singhbhum district. The announcement, following a cabinet meeting on Friday, marks a significant stride in the state’s economic development.
Chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the cabinet meeting saw unanimous approval for the ambitious project, which is slated to unfold on a vast 15,725-acre expanse under the purview of the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) in East Singhbhum district.
Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel provided insights into the project, revealing that a dedicated Jamshedpur industrial town committee is in the planning stages. This committee is designed to be a collaborative effort, featuring six members from the state government, 10 members from the industrial giant Tata Steel, and an additional 10 members representing the local populace.

The proposed industrial township is expected to become a catalyst for economic growth and job creation in the region.
