Jharkhand Budget deceptive and populist: Kunal Sharangi

Jamshedpur, Feb 27: BJP State Spokesperson and former MLA, Kunal Sharangi criticized the budget presented by Jharkhand Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon for the financial year 2024-‘25, denouncing it as a time pass budget. Sharangi accused the JMM-Congress coalition government of deceiving the people with a budget focused on populism and announcements, neglecting substantial issues. He highlighted the government’s failure to spend more than 40% of the previous year’s budget, emphasizing the hiatus between the budget and the needs of the people.

He asserted that the budget for the fiscal 2024-‘25 catered to the interests of intermediaries. He criticized the government’s track record, citing only 10 out of 59 announced schemes being completed from the previous year’s budget.

Kunal urged the government to prioritize the welfare of the people over political agendas and populist measures.
