Jamshedpur, Feb 3: Jharkhand Boxing Association (JBA) today distributed Boxing Kit at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Sunder Nagar. The aim of the event was to promote boxing among students.
JBA will be conducting the 11th Elite and Senior state championship for both men and women. The event will be organized between 16th-18th February 2018. State Championship for Junior and Sub-junior category will be conducted in West Singhbhum between 2nd � 3rd week of March, 2018.
Jharkhand Boxing Association cadres have performed exceptionally well in both International and National events bringing laurels to the Nation and the State. Notable among them are Aruna Mishra, Divakar Prasad, Anthras Lakra and Laxmi Padia. In 2017 Mr Selay Soy won Gold Medal in Junior Men National Championship held in Guwahati and Neha Tantubai won Silver medal in Junior Women Championship held in Rohtak.
