Alyona, Ipshita, Vidisha and Harshit win C.D. Singh Memorial inter school essay contest

Jamshedpur, Feb. 3: The C.D. Singh Memorial Inter School ‘On the Spot English & Hindi Essay Competition 2017’ was held at Rajendra Vidyalaya on the 25th November, 2017. 16 schools comprising 90 candidates had participated in it.

There were two categories viz Group A & Group B both for Hindi & English. Group A consisted of students of Stds. XI & XII while Group B consisted of students of Stds. IX & X.

The English Topic for Group A was ‘Do traditional custom restrict the freedom of an individual’. In the Group B the topic given was ‘Democracy without discipline is meaningless’.

In Hindi the students were given the topic for Group A- Midia apne mul dharm se bhatak raha hai.

The following candidates stood 1st, 2nd & 3rd respectively.
In English essay competition Group A- the winner was Alyona Roy of Carmel Junior College. Sarthank Sharan and Muskan of DAV Bistupur bagged the second and third spot.

In Group B- Vidisha Yashaswini of Loyola School won the first prize, followed by Mokshit Bhayani of Loyola School and Virangana Prasad of DBMS English School.
In the Hindi competition Group A- Ipshita Mitra of Tarapore School Agrico was first, Khushi of Rajendra Vidyalaya was second and Isha Agarwal of Carmel Junior won the third spot.

In Group B- Harshit Agarwal of DAV Bistupur won the first prize followed by Kumari Niharika of Jamshedpur Public School and Shivangi Tiwary of Loyola School.
The winners will be awarded with prizes on 5th February, 2018 during the morning Assembly.
