Ranchi: Pro tem Speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Stephen Marandi, chaired a high-level meeting with senior officials on Friday to finalize preparations for the first session of the sixth Jharkhand Legislative Assembly beginning December 9. Key guidelines were issued, particularly concerning seating and security arrangements for new members.
The Chief Secretary informed the Speaker that adequate security forces and magistrates had been deployed for the session. The Speaker also directed provisions for essential medical facilities, including life-saving medicines and ambulances, to ensure a seamless session. Discussions addressed traffic management and measures to avoid unnecessary crowding near the Assembly premises.
Orders for deputing senior officials in the official gallery during the session were also confirmed. Attendees included Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, DGP Anurag Gupta, Principal Secretaries Vandana Dadel and Prashant Kumar, Ranchi DC Manjunath Bhajantri, SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha, and other senior departmental officials.
