Jharkhand assembly internal resource committee on better revenue collection

Seraikela, Apr 7: The Jharkhand assembly internal resources and central assistance committee which was on a two-day visit of Seraikela-Kharswan aimed at better utilisation of internal resources and central assistance for the development and progress of the state collected revenue collection details of all the government departments. 
Speaking to media, chairperson of the committee Ramchandra Singh said that suggestions have been given to the officials to take remedial measures and a copy of the report would be submitted to the chief minister and the assembly speaker. 
The committee chairperson admitted that due low revenue collection in the wake of Covid pandemic has affected finance of the state and claimed that in the Seraikela Kharswan district illegal stone mine and sand lifting are the two major reasons of stealing of state revenue and that they would recommend for strict step to stop such practices and also stop stone mining at Mirgichingra and other sites and also objected to construction of building and commercial complexes on agriculture land as agriculture land cannot be registered for commercial purpose which in turn is affecting revenue collection of the government.
