Jamshepdur, Apr 7: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato on Wednesday met water resources department secretary Prashant Kumar on various issues of his Parliamentary constituency.
The MP raised the delay in execution of the Bagbera drinking water project and requested for speeding up the construction work. The secretary immediately called up the engineer in chief, Nageshwar Mishra and directed for early completion of the project and any hurdles should be informed to him at the earliest.
The MP also raised issue of irrigation scheme in Patamda region using pipes from Subernarekha project and said that talks have been held with the Union jal shakti minister Gajendra Singh Sekhawat who had said that if the state government sends a detailed project report then Union government would take a suitable action. The secretary said that they would make a DPR on the project.
The MP also raised issue of renovation of Burudih Dam as it would prove a boon for irrigation work in Ghatshila and also requested for construction of a road over the dam linking Odisha on the Galudih Barrage.
