Jharkhand Assembly committee discusses HCL land issue 

Jamshedpur, January 28: JMM MLA and chairperson of Jharkhand Assembly question and attention drawing committee, Sarfaraz Ahmed held a meeting along with other members of the committee and East Singhbhum district officials at Circuit House on Saturday. 

 Information was taken by the chairperson from the officials of various government departments on the questions raised pertaining to their department concerning East Singhbhum district in the Vidhan Sabha. 

The issue of oustees was mainly discussed with the representative of Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL). Expressed satisfaction over the work related to ongoing government schemes in the district. 

Sarfaraz Ahmed told in the course of conversation with the media that this committee questions the concerned department regarding the problems that have come to the attention, due to which the Deputy Commissioner of that district is asked to investigate if the satisfactory answer is not received, this happens until the committee is satisfied with the solution of the problem. 

In East Singhbhum district also, a problem related to raiyati land of 57 families related to Hindustan Copper Limited came to the fore, on which Hindustan Copper’s officer became aware of the situation related to the problem and the concerned department’s officer and MLA of the area (Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren) investigated and directed for solution. 

Directions were given to solve the problems of education and electricity at the earliest.
