Jharkhand almost free of crime and extremism: Jamshedpur SSP

East Singhbhum administration celebrates Jharkhand�s Foundation Day

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand has largely become a crime-free and extremism-free state. The state is taking strides in the field of development like never before. The pledge taken at the time of Jharkhand�s formation is now being fulfilled. This was observed on Thursday by the senior superintendent of police (SSP), East Singhbhum, Anoop Birtharay.

The SSP was addressing a gathering on the occasion of the state�s Foundation Day cum Birsa Munda birth anniversary celebrations held at district level. He said working honestly and sincerely for the state�s development would be a true homage to the great son of India. He said a sizeable part of East Singhbhum was gripped by extremism few years ago. But now extremism has been eliminated in Ghatsila, Gudabandha, Chakulia, Bodam and Patamada, he said.

The SSP said the people of Jharkhand should work together for the speedy development of the state. Both citizens and government officials should work honestly and sincerely for the state�s development, he said.
Earlier, the district administration distributed blankets and saris among the needy people.

Many dignitaries were present during the programme. They included ADM Law and Order Subodh Kumar, DDC of East Singhbhum, B Maheshwari, SDO of Dhalbhum Chandan Kumar, Jharkhand State Khadi Board member Kulwant Singh Bunty and Chief Minister�s representative Pawan Agrawal.
