Jharkhand Academic Council implements high-tech solution for exam results

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, Feb 19: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is revolutionizing the examination process from start to finish with the integration of high technology. Following the assessment of Matriculation and Intermediate exam papers, it will now take a maximum of 10 days to compile the marks file and transmit it to the data center—a significant reduction from the previous 45-day timeline.

The new system utilizes MR-based online technology, streamlining the process for JAC. Teachers no longer need to manually input candidate names, subject names, or roll numbers after assessing answer sheets. Instead, all relevant data is pre-recorded in an MR-based sheet. Teachers simply input the marks obtained by the candidates in each subject, and the data is digitally transmitted to the data center for mark-sheet generation.

In a bid to ensure accuracy and efficiency, JAC initiated trial runs of the technology on Sunday. If successful after five rounds of trials, the system will be officially implemented this year. Additionally, online training will be provided to all teachers to familiarize them with the new process.

The collection of answer sheets is slated to commence on March 1. JAC aims to break records by expediting the release of Matriculation and Intermediate exam results. Just three days after the exams conclude on February 26, answer sheets will be retrieved from the bank and dispatched to the Main Treasury across all districts.
