Jamshedpur, Feb 19: Monday marked a significant yet bittersweet day for Jharkhand cricket, witnessing the retirement of international cricketer Saurabh Tiwary from all formats.  On the same day, international bowler Varun Aaron also announced his retirement from Red Ball cricket.

The emotional farewells took place at Keenan Stadium after the conclusion of Jharkhand-Rajasthan Ranji match.

Both players, hailing from Jamshedpur, expressed their emotions as they cut retirement cakes, signifying the end of an era in their cricket journey. While Varun Aaron will continue to participate in white-ball matches, including ODIs and T20s, he bid farewell to red-ball cricket. It is worth noting that both players have deep roots in Jamshedpur, with Tiwary growing up in the Steel City and Aaron being born and residing in Jamshedpur.
