JH Tarapore School organises elocution contest

Jamshedpur, June 30: JH Tarapore School organised the annual English and Hindi Elocution Contest for the primary department on Saturday.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp. The day began with the English Elocution which was followed by the Hindi Elocution.

The students of Std. IV & V competed with each other. In Std. III the whole class participated in Choral recitation and the three sections competed among themselves.

The poems were selected and short listed with great care.

The competition was tough and the judges had a difficult task.

The winners of English Elocution in Group A were Sanskriti  Choudhary  (IV C) and  Bhavya  Kumari  (IV B). In Group B  Choral  Recitation  winner  was class 3 C.

In Group C first prize was bagged by Shreiya  Sanskriti of (V B), second prize went to Priya  Singh of (V A).

 The winners of the Hindi Elocution in Group A were- first Uzma  Jabin  Khan  (IV A) and second Shradha  Sidharth  of (IV C ). In Group B Choral  Recitation  winner  was class 3 B. In Group  C first prize went to Soumya  Gupta  (V A)  and second prize was bagged by Shreiya  Sanskriti  (V B ). The Chief Guest for the programme Lalitha Chandrashekhar gave away the prizes to the winners. The programme came to an end with a short encouraging speech by the Chief Guest who congratulated the winners and encouraged the teachers and students.
