Jamshedpur, December 17:Jamshedpur is set to return to centre stage on the Indian youth football calendar as the city hosts the Reliance Foundation Development League 2025–26, Rest of India (ROI) – 2 Regional Qualifiers, beginning 31 December. The tournament will bring together emerging teams from across the country at Jamshedpur.
A total of 15 matches will be played during the qualifiers, with teams including Bidhanagar Municipal SA, Zinc Football Academy, Football 4 Change, J&K Sports Council FA, Sporting Club Kerala and Jamshedpur FC competing for progression. Matches will be held across the JRD Tata Sports Complex and Flatlet grounds in Jamshedpur.
Jamshedpur FC will field their Under-18 side in the competition, continuing the club’s focus on youth development and competitive exposure. Last year Jamshedpur FC reached the semifinal of the tournament in the National leg held in Mumbai. The young Men of Steel are already engaged in home-and-away fixtures in the Elite League, and the RFDL qualifiers present another opportunity for the squad to test themselves in a high-intensity tournament environment.
The qualifiers will officially kick off on 31 December at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, where Jamshedpur FC open their campaign against J&K Sports Council FA with an 11:30 am kickoff. The U-18s will then face Bidhanagar Municipal SA on 2 January and Sporting Club Kerala on 4 January, both early-morning fixtures at the same venue.
The final phase of Jamshedpur’s league matches shifts to the Flatlet ground, where they take on Zinc Football Academy on 6 January and Football 4 Change on 8 January, with both matches scheduled for 8:00 am kickoffs
