Jewelry and cash stolen in Potka

Jamshedpur, April 3: Unidentified thieves took away cash and jewelry worth Rs 2.10 lakh from the house of one Ram Chandra Manjhi in Roladih under Potka police station area late yesterday night.

Sources said the thieves took away gold and silver ornaments and cash kept in the safe. Manjhi said he had gone to watch an evening cricket tournament in the locality. After returning home, Manjhi slept in an adjacent room. His wife told him about the theft in the morning.

Police officials said they had begun an investigation into the theft. They said the theft would soon be detected.
