Jamshedpur: Members of Jai Bharat Samanata Party burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sakchi roundabout on Saturday to protest inflation.
They alleged that the PM had failed to keep his promise to control inflation.
They said the rate of inflation had gone up in the last two months, indicating that the PM had either not taken any initiative to control it or that he had failed in his efforts.
Dilip Prasad, district president of the outfit, further criticized BJP leader Vijay Goel for saying that the people of Bihar should be driven out of New Delhi.
He said the BJP leader had shown his narrow-mindedness by making such a statement.
