Jamshedpur: Jan Satyagrah, a city-based outfit, has demanded that the city be made a metropolitan city.
He said the city should be given the status of a Smart City as per the announcement of the Central government. He said the city should not be made either an industrial town nor a municipal town.
The outfit members handed over a memorandum to the deputy commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum Dr Amitabh Kaushal in this connection.
Among those present during the meeting with the DC included Dara Yadav, Manjeet Kumar Mishra, Durga Rajak, Sanjay Kumar, Mahesh Paswan and Pradip Jha.
