Jamshedpur, Oct. 7: The new edition of Jam@Streets was held on Sunday at the Bistupur Main Road. People in large number took part in it. The Jam@Streets event is a street festival with goodies which can be indulged in by the whole family.
It had sporting events like Roller skating, Badminton, Basketball,
Boxing, Handball, Karate, Adventure games and much more.
Together with games, there were rock bands adding to the Sunday euphoria with selfie corner, street painting, magic show, dandiya and other activities for
the whole family.
And to top it all, there were food stalls offering a variety of
morning delights including dosas, golgappas, upma, idli, samosa,
kachori sabzee, health drinks and fruits, sandwiches, cakes, pastry
and green smoothies.
There was also a separate counter set up for registration for
Jamshedpur Run-a-thon scheduled on November 18.
Similar street festivals are held at different cities in India under
different names like Raahgiri at Delhi and Bhubaneshwar, Happy Street
at Kolkata and similar initiatives are being undertaken at other
cities also.
It is to the credit of the people of Jamshedpur that
their active participation has made Jam@Streets a much looked forward
to event for the young and the not so young.
