Jamshedpur’s Sonari Gurudwara gets modern langar hall, kitchen

Jamshedpur, Dec. 2: New facilities have been added to Steel City’s Sonari Gurudwara. A langar hall and kitchen with all modern amenities has been built in the Gurudwara premises within a span of two years. Sonari Gurudwara Pradhan Sardar Tara Singh on Wednesday informed that we will make Sonari Gurudwara no. 1 in Jharkhand with facilities as same as that of Auckland. “Guru Ram Das Hall has been built after demolishing four shabby rooms. Bathrooms have also been built at the side of the hall for the convenience of the sangat (devotees). Members of the committee supported in making a model kitchen,” Tara Singh added.

Addressing a press meet, Tara Singh further said, keeping the pandemic in mind, 8-day Prabhat Pheri was take out on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti in Sonari area. Kirtan Darbar was organised daily from 5 am to 6 am after which tea and snacks were distributed among the devotees. Several competitions were also conducted to impart information about religion and culture among Sikh youths and kids. Also present at the press conference were Chairman Rajendra Singh, senior deputy president Harjeet Singh Virdi, general secretary Kamaljeet Singh Chawla, Sikh Stri Satsang Sabha chairman Jaswant Kaur and others.
