Jamshedpur’s Senior advocate Shyamal Choudhary passes away, body donated to MGM hospital

Jamshedpur, Dec 26: Senior advocate Shyamal Choudhary, the oldest member of the Jamshedpur Bar Association, passed away on Thursday morning at 6:30 AM at the age of 85 after prolonged illness.

His demise is being mourned as a great loss to the legal fraternity. Bar leaders, including Jharkhand State Bar Council Vice President Rajesh Kumar Shukla and Jamshedpur Bar Association President Rathindra Nath Das, remembered his invaluable contributions. Former Presidents Manoranjan Das and Tapas Mitra also expressed their condolences, calling him a guiding figure.

Fulfilling his last wish, Choudhary’s body was donated to MGM Medical College. His son, Advocate S. Chaudhary, confirmed this noble act, which reflects his father’s lifelong commitment to service.

The legal community has paid tribute to his enduring legacy, expressing deep grief and remembering him as a guardian of the association.
