Jamshedpur, Oct 7: The Adityapur Industrial Area is set to witness major investment from the railways as Ramakrishna Forging Company gears up to manufacture coaches for Vande Bharat, Kolkata Metro, and Surat Metro. The construction of a new plant in Sini, Saraikela-Kharsawan, is progressing rapidly. This development is expected to create direct and indirect employment for around 10,000 people in the region.
Ramakrishna Forging Company is already engaged in talks with the railways, and while the company has been manufacturing various railway components, the expansion into producing bogies marks a significant step forward. The company will also start manufacturing rail wheels at its Chennai plant by December next year.
Despite the industrial progress, Adityapur faces infrastructure challenges, such as poor roads and drainage issues, which have persisted for over five years. Repeated appeals for repairs have gone unanswered. Additionally, the lack of an airport in Jamshedpur has deterred potential investors, though the upcoming railway manufacturing projects are raising hopes for better opportunities and growth in the area.

Jamshedpur have all required facilities like raw material source nearby , Tata Steel and SAIL Bokaro, power, skilled manpower, industrial culture, vendor base etc. It can meet entire railway requirements.
