Jamshedpur, July 8: The All India Karate Championship 2022 will be held from 15th July to 16th July 2022 at Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh). The sporting event will be organized by Chhattisgarh Olympic Association and Karate Association of Chhattisgarh.
For the championship to be held in Indoor Stadium State Training Centre, Bilaspur, Jamshedpur’s Shihan L. Nageshwar Rao, a black belt who is associated with the sport for over three decades has been selected as Technical Secretary by Chhattisgarh Olympic Association.
Chief Coach at Tata Steel Karate Training Centre cum Hony. General Secretary, Jharkhand State Karate Do Association and Vice President, Karate Association of India L. Nageshwar Rao was recently selected as Referee for karate events of Khelo India University Games.
Jharkhand team will be participating in the championship under Nageshwar Rao’s leadership.
Rao hoped that Jharkhand team will win several medals and bring laurels to state.
He informed that the tournament will be inaugurated by Bhupesh Bhagel, Chief Minister, Chhattisgarh who is also President of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association.
Rao further said that about 2400 karatekas from all over India will participate in the Championship along with karate teams from CRPF, ITBP, Assam Rifles. The championship will be held under 300 qualified National and International Referee and Judges.
