Jamshedpur’s Mohan secures AIR 4 in UGC NET

Jamshedpur, March 10: Mohini Mohan Kumbhkar, a native of Chhota Lakha village in Bhadudih panchayat of Chandil near Jamshedpur has brought laurels to his family and village by securing all India rank 4 in the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET). He has secured 99.99 percentile marks in Pedagogy subject, notwithstanding all financial constraints.

Sources said Mohan prepared for NET while earning for his family. His father, Yudhisthir Kumbhkar, is a tuition teacher. He visits the households of his students on bicycle to teach them various subjects while his mother Ranjana Devi is a homemaker.

Mohan passed his Matriculation Board exams from SS High School, Chandil, and did his graduation and post graduation in Political Science at SB College, Chandil. He has completed Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course from Ashu Kisku B.Ed College, Chandil. He is currently pursuing M.Ed course at Banares Hindu University. He attributed his success to the support and guidance of his parents and teachers. He said he is interested in doing research in the field of education and becoming a University professor.
