Jamshedpur’s ML Chatterjee clinches bronze in 2000m Steeplechase at National Masters Athletic Championship

Jamshedpur, April 30: ML Chatterjee of Jamshedpur on Saturday won a bronze medal in the men’s 2000 meters steeplechase event in the 70 plus age group category at the 42nd National Masters Athletic Championship being organized by Masters Athletic Federation of India, (MAFI) from 27 April to 1 May 2022 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

At the end of fourth day today, team Jharkhand has won seven medals including two gold, one silver and four bronze. While other athletes continue to make strides, many players have ensured their place among the top 8 of the competition.

President of Jharkhand Masters Athletic Association Laxman Upadhyay and secretary SK Tomar have expressed satisfaction over the performance of athletes.

Jharkhand is hopeful of winning more medals during the last day of the championship on Sunday, May 1.
