Jamshedpur’s minimum temperature rises to 16.4°C, IMD predicts clear weather across Jharkhand

Jamshedpur: The Ranchi Meteorological Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted clear weather across Jharkhand over the next 48 hours, accompanied by a further rise in minimum temperatures. However, some areas in northern Jharkhand may experience partly cloudy skies tomorrow.

According to IMD data, Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 14.4 degrees Celsius today, while Jamshedpur stood at 16.4 degrees Celsius. Other parts of the state also observed varying temperature levels, with Daltonganj recording 11.6 degrees Celsius, Bokaro Steel City at 12.5 degrees, Dhanbad at 11.1 degrees, and Gumla at 11.5 degrees. Notably, Khunti witnessed a sharp rise in minimum temperature, reaching 13.7 degrees Celsius.

The overall trend indicates an abrupt rise in minimum temperatures across most parts of Jharkhand. Meteorologists attribute this to shifting weather patterns influenced by an induced cyclonic circulation over West Rajasthan, extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.

Satellite images have also detected two fresh Western Disturbances expected to affect Northwest India between February 1 and 3. These disturbances may lead to changes in weather conditions, though their direct impact on Jharkhand remains uncertain.

The forecast for the next 24 hours suggests a continued increase in minimum temperatures, providing respite from the cold spell that gripped the state earlier this month. Residents can expect milder nights and comfortable mornings in the coming days.
