Jamshedpur’s Jugsalai tops in Swachh Bharat competition in Jharkhand

Prez to honour at New Delhi on  Nov 20

Jamshedpur, Nov 16: Jugsalai Municipal Council, which participated in the Swachh Bharat Survey Competition 2021, has been declared the topper in Jharkhand.
 Along with this, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has also been selected for the award in the category of Garbage Free City and Swachh Safai Mitra.

Jugsalai with the better results in the Swachh Bharat survey, as the first in the state, has brought laurels not only to the city but to the state. 
President Ram Nath Kovind will present the award at the prize distribution ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on November 20. Those who would be going to New Delhi to receive the award include urban development department secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey, director SUDA, Amit Kumar,  deputy commissioner Jamshedpur Suraj Kumar, Jugsalai Municipal Council executive officer Jagdish Prasad Yadav and Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) special officer Krishn Kumar. 

It is to be known that in Swachh Bharat Competition 2020 also Jugsalai Nagar Parishad was ranked ninth in eastern India among cities with a population of less than 50,000while Jharkhand remained at the number one position. 
 Jugsalai municipal council executive officer  JP Yadav said that the credit for the success goes to the public.
 Along with this, the main reason for the success of Jugsalai Municipal Council is to take the clean awareness campaign to the masses. Removing the old dustbins and decorating the place with flowers and paintings as well as constructing a selfie point. To reward the winners by conducting clean competitions in schools, hotels, apartments had made Jugsalai known for poor garbage removal has become a symbol of cleanliness today.
