Jamshedpur, March 23: A group of Jugsalai residents met Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of East Singhbhum, M Tamil Vanan, on Wednesday and sought security against their neighbours. Indu Singh, one of the residents, said her neighbours had threatened her family of dire consequences following a dispute over playing music during Holi. The accused persons also set a Tata Nano car belonging to her on fire, she told the SSP.
Indu Singh, who was accompanied by her family members, accused Jugsalai police of turning a deaf ear to her repeated pleas for taking action against the accused persons. She said the police were acting as silent spectators while the accused persons were running riot in the locality.
