Jamshedpur: The brochure for the upcoming Swadeshi Fair to be held from October 8–12 at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur, was launched on Tuesday at Prayag Hall, Tulsi Bhawan, under the joint aegis of the Centre for Bharatiya Marketing Development (CBMD) and Swadeshi Vikas Parishad.

Chief guest Dilip Goyal, President of Rajasthan Seva Sadan, said, “The Swadeshi Fair translates the ideology of the Swadeshi Jagran Manch into reality. Given the current global business climate and tariff wars, it is crucial to strengthen India’s economy by using more domestically made goods.”

Manoj Kumar Singh, National Executive Committee Member of Swadeshi Jagran Manch and member of Khadi Gramodyog Eastern Zone, said the fair aims to ignite the spirit of swadeshi as a family event. “It is not just about selling indigenous products, but also about hosting discussions on enriching Indian culture and the nation’s prosperity,” he added, noting that new seminars and workshops will be introduced this year.

Murli Dhar Kedia, Chairman of Swavalambi Jharkhand, highlighted that the fair is unique compared to other trade fairs, offering handicrafts, swadeshi brands and Ayurvedic medicines all in one place.

The event included a welcome speech by Ashok Goyal, compering by Rajkumar Sah and a vote of thanks by Rajpati Devi. Several dignitaries and members of Swadeshi Jagran Manch attended the programme.
