Jamshedpur, June 4: Jamshedpur reported 73 Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday, June 5. City also saw 131 people recover of the virus while it also registered 2 coronavirus-related deaths. The state, too, witnessed a massive fall in infections and fatalities.
The overall death toll in the East Singhbhum has reached 1034 and the total cases 50514.It appears to be early signs that the more dangerous Covid wave is receding from the city. The Steel City’s case positivity rate has also dropped to 0.95 percent.
The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 0.95 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 7500 tests in the last 24 hours. The Steel City tested 7674 samples, of which, 73 turned out positive while 131 people recovered from the Covid-19 on Saturday, June 5.
Meanwhile, 2 deaths were recorded in the same duration. The continuous high number of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 0.95 per cent, the government data showed.
The recovery rate has climbed to 96.70% while the active cases have come down to 705.

Deaths due to the virus continue to be sign of worry as 2 people succumbed due to Covid on Saturday, June 5, East Singhbhum Covid bulletin said.
City reported 2 deaths on Saturday, while district’s positive cases tally has mounted to 50514. According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department on Saturday 2 fatalities were due to the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours. The death toll has climbed to 1034.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 359538 test per million in the district.
As per the records of health department out of 7674 people who underwent Covid tests in East Singhbhum 73 were found positive.
Over 8500 COVID-19 tests, including 934 RT-PCR and 6340 RAT were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.
The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 96.70% while the mortality rate is 2.05%.
So far in Jamshedpur 962410 samples have been collected out of which 957091 have been tested and 906577 have turned out to be negative.
