Jamshedpur. On the occasion of World Environment Day, Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police M Tamil Vanan, Divisional Forest Officer Jamshedpur and others gave the message of environmental protection by planting trees in Ghorabandha, Forest Department Park cum Rest House Complex on Saturday. While conveying his best wishes to the people of the district, Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar said that on this auspicious occasion, take a pledge to protect and promote nature. It is our moral responsibility to protect the environment. Together we all have to protect water, forest, land and nature.
On the occasion of World Environment Day, plantation was done in the entire district regarding environmental promotion and awareness about water, forest land, as well as awareness program was organized.
Deputy Development Commissioner along with Block Development Officer and Circle Officer planted saplings in Jamshedpur Sadar Block premises. Plantation was also done in many office premises including District Public Relations Department.
Awareness cum plantation program was organized by Jugsalai Municipality in the premises of R.P Patel School. People were given information about ecological restoration.
