Jamshedpur’s Coral Bhamra to star in Vikram Bhatt’s web series titled The Dirty Games

Jamshedpur, Jan 23: Former student of Sacred Heart Convent School Coral Bhamra is all set to star in Vikram Bhatt’s promising thriller titled, ‘The Dirty Games’. The web series starring Sandeepa Dhar and Omkar Kapoor in lead roles will be streamed on MX Player in February. The Dirty Games, is written and directed by Vikram Bhatt and follows a psychiatrist who gets caught in the middle of a murder.

 “In the time of the pandemic, OTT has become the primary medium for the audience to view good content and I am happy to bag the role of a criminal lawyer, who is a friend of the protagonist. The name of my character in the web series is Saba. The story revolves around a psychiatrist who gets caught in the middle of a murder. It is a challenging script and it was a pleasure working with veteran director like Bhatt,” said Coral.

When asked about working with noted filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, she said that he is a director who knows his work very well. It was a great learning experience for her and she got to know about the passion of film making.     

Born and brought up in Jamshedpur, Coral moved to Bangalore for higher studies after completing her school education from Sacred Heart Convent School. After her graduation from Natya Institute of Kathak and Choreography, she headed to Mumbai. After setting her foot in Mumbai, she joined Anupam Kher’s school for actors. During these years, she did web series and later bagged a role in ‘Kundali Bhagya’.  

She played the role of Tanvi, a girl who plays love triangle in developing love story of Sameer (Abhishek Kapur) and Srishti (Anjum Fakih) in Balaji Telefilms, ‘Kundali Bhagya’.

Sharing about her future projects, Coral informed that she is also playing a key role in ‘Teri Meri Ek Jindri’ an Indian television show. The show is being produced under the banner of Prateek Sharma’s production house LSD Films. The show stars Amandeep Sidhu, Adhvik Mahajan and Manish Verma. It will premiere on 27 January 2021. Coral is playing the role of a Punjabi girl Renu Chopra who is the elder sister of the protagonist.  

Like everyone else, the pandemic has affected Coral as well. “The past few months have been tough. Most of my projects were stalled. Due to lock down the process of shooting was on hold for some time. But the industry never stops working. So here we are back where we love to work,” she noted with a smile.

Coral may have shot to fame at a very early age, but she remains grounded about her ideas and considers her parents to be her biggest strengths. “My parents are there whenever I am shooting. It is they who help me select the scripts. I have been approached for a couple of film projects, but I cannot reveal anything until it is finalised,” says the young actor.
