Jamshedpur’s Ankita and Bhajan Kaur win Bronze in Archery Recurve Women’s Team event at Asian Games

 

Hangzhou/Jamshedpur: India’s Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur and Simranjeet Kaur won Bronze in the Recurve Archery Women’s Team event after defeating Vietnam in the Bronze medal playoff match in Asian Games on Friday.

The trio continued the country’s record-breaking run at the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou as they beat Vietnam with a scoreline of 6-2.

Ankita and Bhajan are cadets of Tata Archery Academy, Jamshedpur.

Before this, the Indian team had registered a 6-2 loss to South Korea, the team which had clinched the last six titles in the category, in the semifinals. Following this, a bronze medal match with Vietnam was set.
