Jamshedpur, Jan 31: Ananya Das, hailing from Jamshedpur, has assumed charge as District Magistrate and Collector of Subarnapur District in Odisha.
Ananya did her schooling at Rajendra Vidyalaya in Sakchi from where she did her + 12 in the Science stream in 2013 and later pursued her studies at Cuttack’s Ravenshaw University where she emerged as the second topper in English Literature course.

In 2017, Ananya Das competed in the Railway Board’s examination and in her very first attempt, bagged all India 579th rank. She served the Indian Railways for two years and in 2019 she participated in the UPSC all India exams securing the 60th rank. She underwent training at Mussoorie. While under training, she won the top awards in poetry recitation and debate.
According to her parents Badal Bhuiyan and Seema Das, Ananya was very serious about her studies right from her childhood and she had achieved several awards and recognitions in several streams in her educational career including for her essays. She was awarded for her essay in the prestigious magazine, ‘Pratiyogita Darpan.’ Ananya Das’ younger brother, Sambhav, is pursuing his studies abroad. Her grandfather Ranjan Das, uncles Shravan Das and Dilip Das, community elders and other senior citizens have expressed their pride over her success.
