68th Junior National Ball Badminton Championship concludes
Jamshedpur, March 14: The 68th Junior National Ball Badminton Championship concluded today at the Patliputra Stadium in Patna. The event, which began on March 10, saw young talents from across the country vying for top honors in both the boys’ and girls’ categories.
In a thrilling finale, Andhra Pradesh emerged victorious in the Junior Boys’ team category, claiming the first-place. They were closely followed by Tamil Nadu in second place, Karnataka in third place, and Maharashtra securing the fourth spot.
Meanwhile, in the girls’ team category, Tamil Nadu clinched the top position, with Andhra Pradesh securing second place, Karnataka in third, and Kerala in fourth.
The final match, held on March 14, saw a display of exceptional talent and sportsmanship. Amidst cheers and applause, the winning states were honored for their outstanding performances in the championship.
Among the standout players, Abhishek Kumar from Jamshedpur, was recognized and awarded the with Best Upcoming Player award. The closing ceremony was graced by dignitaries including Y Raja Rao, General Secretary of Ball Badminton; Prof Naval Kishore Yadav, President; and Gauri Shankar, Bihar Ball Badminton General Secretary. State Secretaries, officials, and players from all participating states were also present to mark the conclusion of the 68th Junior Ball Badminton Championship.
