Jamshedpur, March 14: Bhanu Munda (63) lost his life after being struck by an unidentified vehicle near Khandamouda Chowk on NH 49, under Barsole police station of East Singhbhum district. Reportedly, Munda was crossing the road when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.
Local residents rushed to Munda’s aid and rushed him to the Community Health Center in Baharagora via a 108 ambulance. However, despite receiving immediate medical attention, Munda succumbed to his injuries.
Barsole police took custody of the deceased’s body. The body was later transferred to Ghatshila for autopsy.
The identity of the vehicle and its driver remains unknown as authorities continue their inquiries into the hit-and-run incident along NH 49.
