Jamshedpur, July 8: Two youths from Mango, identified as Farooq and Aftab Alam Ansari of Bagansahi Road No. 7 in Azadnagar, find themselves in distressing circumstances in Dubai. Their families have urgently sought assistance from the Jamshedpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to facilitate their return to India. The families allege that the youths were misled by Aamir, director of a local training institute, who promised them lucrative job opportunities in Dubai in exchange for Rs 75,000 each.

Upon arriving in Dubai on June 1, Farooq and Aftab discovered that the actual job offered by a different company involved lower wages than promised. They were coerced into signing a two-year employment contract with stringent conditions, including a penalty of 6,000 dirhams (approximately 1.20 lakh rupees) if they attempted to leave before the contract term ended. Dissatisfied with these terms, both youths protested, leading to their termination from employment and confiscation of their passports by the company.

Currently stranded in Dubai with visas valid only until 2 July, Farooq and Aftab’s families approached the SSP after their complaints to the local police station went unaddressed. In response, the SSP has instructed the Azadnagar police station in-charge to investigate the matter thoroughly. The families remain hopeful for swift action to bring back Farooq and Aftab Alam Ansari safely from Dubai.
