Jamshedpur: A 26-year-old youth from the Mango area of the city, Rohit Shukla, also known as Chandan Shukla, died in a road accident in Bengaluru, leaving his family and locality in deep shock.
Rohit was reportedly working at a parking facility outside Bengaluru Airport when the accident occurred. During his duty, he was hit by a vehicle, resulting in critical injuries. The collision proved fatal, and he died on the spot.
The Karnataka Police informed the family soon after the incident. Upon receiving the news, his relatives rushed to Bengaluru and are currently on their way back to Jamshedpur with his mortal remains.
A resident of Gurudwara Road in Mango, Rohit was the eldest son and a key breadwinner of the family. His father earns a livelihood as a tempo driver, and Rohit’s sudden demise has left the family not only grief-stricken but also facing financial uncertainty.
The incident has plunged the neighborhood into mourning, with locals and well-wishers expressing their condolences. Former BJP leader Vikas Singh visited the family to extend his support and sympathies.
