Jamshedpur youth protest against handcuffing of Indian deported from US

Jamshedpur: Members of the All India Sikh Students Federation staged a protest at Sakchi roundabout against the alleged inhuman treatment of Indians deported from the United States in handcuffs. Led by Satnam Singh Gambhir, East India President of the Federation, the protesters wore handcuffs and raised slogans, expressing their anger over the humiliating manner in which Indian citizens were sent back.

Satnam Singh Gambhir strongly condemned the incident, stating, “The way the US government deported Indians to India, handcuffed and in an army plane, is a disgraceful act that tarnishes humanity.” He also criticized the silence of the Central Government on this issue, pointing out that it was not even discussed during the Prime Minister’s visit to America, which he termed an insult to the nation.

The Federation demanded that the Indian Government take immediate action to ensure that Indians being deported from America are brought back in a respectful manner and provided with employment opportunities. Prominent members present at the protest included Sukhwinder Singh Sabbi, Inderjit Singh Panesar, Paramjit Singh Kale, Avtaar Singh, Dilbagh Singh, Gurdeep Singh Kaka, Amarjit Singh, Mandeep Singh Shanky, Taranpreet Singh Bunny, Balbir Singh, Manmohan Singh, Amarjit Singh Gambhir, and Roshan Singh.

The protest highlighted growing concerns about the dignity and rights of Indian citizens abroad and urged the government to take a firm stand against such incidents.
