Jamshedpur, June 10: Mohan Gaddi alias Sadakat, a resident of Jugsalai, was strangled to death on June 7 at Meghasai under Potka police station of East Singhbhum.
Mohan’s body was found with his hands tied. Police arrested four people including the woman. The arrested accused include Mintu Sao, a resident of Bagbeda Naya Basti, his wife Vibha Devi, Kirtiwas Kaivartae alias Dadu, a resident of Bengalibasa, Kowali, and Sikandar Kumar, a resident of LBSM College Road.
Police have recovered the clutch wire used in the murder, saree and blouse lying near the dead body of the deceased, three bikes used in the incident and Rs 3200 at the spot of the accused. Giving information, Rural SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat said that on May 7, a dead body was recovered at Meghasai in Potka. The deceased was identified as Mohan Gaddi. In the investigation, the police have arrested Mohan’s girlfriend Vibha Devi, her husband Mintu Saav and two friends.
He told that Mintu got to know about the illegal relationship between Mohan and Vibha, due to which he got Mohan killed. Rural SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat told that after the incident, a team was formed under the leadership of DSP Musabani Chandrashekhar Azad and the accused were arrested.
During interrogation, Mintu told the police that an illegal relationship was going on between his wife Vibha and Mohan for eight months. On getting the information, Vibha was forbidden to meet Mohan. Despite this, Mohan did not stop meeting Vibha. After this, six months ago, he gave contract to his partner Kirtivas to kill Mohan for Rs 70,000 and immediately gave 20 thousand rupees.
Meanwhile, three times tried to kill Mohan but could not succeed. On the night of June 6, they took him to Potka on the pretext of giving him alcohol, where he killed him and left the body there. Mintu told the police that he asked Mohan to drink alcohol and took him to Potka by taking him on a bike with Jugsalai.
Vibha was also there. Sikandar came from behind in another bike. Everyone reached Kirtiwas’s pond where everyone drank alcohol. Tied Mohan’s hand and reached Meghasai where Vibha was doing recce at a distance
