Jamshedpur youth drowns in Satnala Dam

Jamshedpur, April 29: Kadma resident, 21 year old Rahul Mandal drowned in the Satnala Dam near Dobo under Kapali OP in Mango. Rahul drowned while bathing late Sunday evening and his body was discovered on Monday morning.

Originally hailing from Bagbera, Rahul had been residing in a rented house in Bhatia Basti at Kadma and working as a painter. According to his friend Shivam Deep, Rahul, who had married a year ago, was enjoying an outing with three friends at the dam on Sunday evening. Tragically, during their bath, Rahul went missing, prompting his friends to alert both his wife and the police.

Despite efforts to locate him in the darkness, Rahul remained untraceable until the next morning when his body was found in the dam. Local divers assisted the police in retrieving the body, which was subsequently sent for post-mortem examination. Currently, the police are investigating the incident and questioning all of Rahul’s friends who had accompanied him to the dam.
