Jamshedpur youth critical after being attacked by uncle over a dispute

Jamshedpur, Dec 6: Samir Nayak, 23, a resident of Sakara Panchayat in Baharagora, was injured in an attack by his uncle Saroj Nayak on Tuesday afternoon. Baharagora police said that the duo had fought over some dispute and matters had got out of hand when Saroj had hit his nephew with a crowbar.

Samir sustained grievous injuries when Saroj hit him on the head with the metal rod. Soon after the incident the Baharagora police was intimated and the injured was taken to a community health centre by an ambulance of the 108 Emergency Response Service.

Later Samir, who is in a critical condition, was referred to the Raghunath Murmu Memorial Hospital in Odisha. Police officials who are probing the case said that they are now trying to ascertain what the dispute was between the uncle and nephew that took a violent turn.
