Jamshedpur, Oct 21: Several Youth Congress members officially joined the Janata Dal United (JDU) on Monday, demonstrating their trust in the leadership of Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy. The membership drive took place at Roy’s office-cum-residence in Jamshedpur, where he personally welcomed the new members.
The membership campaign was overseen by Munna Singh, highlighting the JDU’s growing influence in the region. Among the notable members who switched allegiance were Youth Congress Jamshedpur West Assembly President Bhawani Singh, alongside Babu Khan, Bijoy Dey, Sameer, Md. Shamshad, Arman Khan, Sujay Soren, Ajay Mardi, Rahul Soren, and many others.
Earlier in the day, additional individuals also joined JDU, including Ganesh Machhua, Mithun Deep, Rajiv Kumar, Sumit Rao, Vinod Pandey, and several others, marking a robust day for the party as it continues to expand its base in the region.
This influx of new members reflects a shift in political loyalty and signals a potential strengthening of JDU’s position in Jamshedpur ahead of upcoming elections.
